Cavies Presents: The Black & Tan Silkie A
work in progress since 2001.
In
2001, Sunflower Cavies embarked on the "longhair tan" project, starting
with an American Tan Cavy, and a few self black longhairs. In 2005, we applied
for and received the ARBA Certificate of Development for the Black Tan Silkie
Cavy. In October of 2008, Sunflower Cavies will present the Tan Silkie to the
ACBA and ARBA standards committees. This brings the Tan Silkie one step closer
to acceptance for exhibition at ARBA sanctioned cavy shows.
